Inspired by Wim Wenders' film "Wings of desire" and Peter Handke's poem "Invocation of the World", for three years Iacopo Pasqui (Florence, 1984) visited the polish city of ÅódÅŗ and wondered its street astonished by the sheer poetry he encountered. As the angels of the film, he kept a diary of each visit but, in his case, a diary made of photographies, as a means to record his encounters and experiences, as a way to share his view on the things, places and people he met.
Based in Perugia (Italy), Iacopo Pasqui’s a photographer whose work explores the relationship between man, nature, territory and social dynamics. More and more focus in his own personal, photographic projects, Pasqui has just launched his second photobook “N” together with Witty Books. The Torino based publisher has been invited to showcase some of their more recent publications.
The selection of photographies as well as the video shown in Porto were produced by and shown at ÅódÅŗ Fotofestiwal 2021.
